New Waterfront Dining Destination Opens in Yonkers

A new chapter in Yonkers’ waterfront revitalization is officially underway with the grand opening of Benjamin’s Seafire Grill, the city’s newest dining destination overlooking the Hudson River.

Mayor Mike Spano joined community members, business leaders, and the restaurant team for a ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate the occasion, marking another milestone in the ongoing transformation of the Yonkers waterfront.

“The Seafire Grill is just another sign of how our waterfront continues to grow as a place where people come together to live, work, and enjoy all that our city has to offer,” said Mayor Spano. “It brings fresh energy and flavor to our waterfront—offering residents and visitors alike a place to gather, dine, and take in the beautiful views that make Yonkers so special.”

The new restaurant combines fine dining with scenic Hudson River views, adding to the city’s expanding lineup of shops, residences, and entertainment options that make downtown Yonkers a true destination.

City officials emphasized that the opening represents more than a new restaurant—it’s a continued investment in the local economy, creating new jobs for residents and strengthening the connection between the downtown district and the riverfront.

“As we continue to revitalize our waterfront, our goal is to create spaces where people want to spend time—and where local businesses can thrive,” Spano added.

With Benjamin’s Seafire Grill now open, Yonkers residents and visitors have one more reason to stroll, dine, and experience the best of the city’s vibrant riverfront.
