Mayor Spano Unveils Weekly ‘Monday Boost’ to Spread Positivity in Yonkers

Yonkers Mayor Mike Spano has introduced a new weekly series called “Mayor Mike’s Monday Boost,” aimed at starting each week on an encouraging note for residents across the city. The initiative will share short, uplifting messages every Monday on the City's social media channels, as well as on the YonkersTRON digital billboard above the Government Center Garage at New Main Street and Nepperhan Avenue.

Mayor Spano said the idea came directly from community feedback. “In recent months, people have told me they want to see more positive news,” he said. “This is one way we can highlight optimism, inspire one another, and keep Yonkers moving forward. Sometimes a simple reminder or motivational message can make a real difference.”

By pairing the online posts with visibility on the YonkersTRON, the City hopes to reach residents throughout their daily routines and offer a weekly dose of encouragement.

The first edition of Monday Boost was released today, with new messages set to follow each week.
