Yonkers Man Admits Guilt in Deadly New Year’s Day Stabbing on Hudson Street
A Yonkers resident has admitted to fatally stabbing another man during an altercation that took place early New Year’s Day.
According to prosecutors, 44-year-old Jamal Glover pleaded guilty on Wednesday in Westchester County Court for his role in the death of 37-year-old Stephen Carson. The incident occurred in the lobby of an apartment building on Hudson Street, where an argument between the two men escalated into violence.
Authorities say Glover fled the scene but was later located and taken into custody in White Plains. His attorney described the case as a tragic circumstance for everyone involved.
Glover is scheduled to be sentenced next month and is expected to receive a term of 16 years to life in prison.
