Westchester County Board Begins Review of 2026 Capital Budget

On October 15, the County Executive submitted the proposed 2026 Capital Budget to the Board of Legislators for review. The plan outlines major investments in housing, infrastructure, transportation, and environmental initiatives for the coming year.

To examine the proposal in detail, the Board has scheduled a series of committee meetings, all of which will be streamed live at westchestercountyny.legistar.com. During these sessions, representatives from various County departments will present information and respond to questions from the Budget & Appropriations Committee.

In early November, the Board is expected to receive the 2026 Operating and Special Districts Budgets. Following that, legislators will hold two public input sessions and a formal public hearing to gather community feedback. Residents are encouraged to attend in person or join remotely via Webex for the White Plains hearing.
