Yonkers Names First Female Commanding Officer at 3rd Precinct

Yonkers marked a historic moment this week with the appointment of Capt. Jamie Dumser as the city’s first female commanding officer of a police precinct.

Dumser will lead the 3rd Precinct on Riverdale Avenue, bringing nearly two decades of experience to the role. Over her 18 years with the department, she has held a variety of leadership positions, most recently serving as executive officer of the Field Services Division.
