Yonkers Parks Department Hosts Annual Easter Egg Hunts at Two City Parks

Spring is officially here, and the City of Yonkers is marking the season with its annual Easter Egg Hunts — set for this Saturday, April 4, at two locations across the city.

The Yonkers Department of Parks, Recreation and Conservation will host events at War Memorial Field, located off Copcutt Lane near Nepperhan Avenue, and at Coyne Park, 771 McLean Avenue. Both hunts are open to children ages 4 through 10, are free of charge, and will take place rain or shine.

The hunts are divided into three age-based time slots so every child gets a fair shot at the eggs.

Ages 4 and under begin at 10:00 AM, ages 5 to 7 follow at 10:30 AM, and ages 8 to 10 wrap up the morning at 11:00 AM.

Eggs are hidden on the field, and a very special guest will be on hand at both locations: the Easter Bunny. Parents and caregivers are encouraged to bring their cameras.

No registration is required. Families are encouraged to arrive a few minutes early to get settled before their group’s hunt begins.
